assassinations :
DID CAESAR DESERVE TO DIE?
motivation behind caesar's death
is it justified?
2 or 3 premises behind why caesar die? (SHAKESPEARE CAESAR!)
first premise:
second premise:
CONCLUSION: THEREFORE, CAESAR MUST DIE
"ET TU BRUTE, THEN CAESAR MUST FALL"---- LAST WORD OF CAESAR
The quotation is widely used in Western culture as an
epitome(summary or miniature form) of betrayal.
[
edit] Interpretation
While the words are commonly interpreted as an expression of shock and betrayal towards Brutus, it has recently been argued that the phrase was instead uttered as a threat.
[6][7] Caesar is thought to have adapted the words of a Greek sentence which to the Romans had long since become proverbial.
[6] The complete phrase is said to have been "You too my son, will have a taste of power," of which Caesar only needed to invoke the opening words to foreshadow
Brutus' own violent death, in response to his assassination.

ides of march 15 is an auspicious number?
QUESTION: WHY MUST CAESAR DIE?
premise1 : caesar intends to turn republican rome into his own rule (monarchy)
premise2: caesar's death will restore the roman republic
CONCLUSION: CAESAR MUST DIE!
to a certain extent it's right but there are still a lot of missing premises
is there evidence to show that caesar wants to turn the republican into monarchy
caesar never explicitly says that he wants the crown ("he denied the crown three times" quote)
however his words and actions show that whatever he say and done he portrays himself to be superior than other mortals (evidence?)
caesar is very parodoxical (complicated) DUALITY OF MAN
you cannot say lack of evidence to be a evidence (FALLACY)
NO EVIDENCE THEREFORE
highly likely that republican will be restored after he dies
HOWEVER YOU CANNOT PREDICT THE FUTURE! (FALLACY: non sequitor?)
THUS WAS IT FAIR TO KIL CAESAR---- IT'S NOT ENOUGH TO KILL HIM
there are many arguments but there are still loopholes
how to apply logic when arguing (for and against) fighting in defence of somebody accused of murder :\\\
tighten argument
NEW CABINET --- PM CHANGED SOME MINISTERS PROMOTED NEW MINISTERS PEOPLE RUNNING THE COUNTRY ARE DIFFERENT
(REPRESENTATIVE DEMOCRACY----FAIR? TYRANNY OF MAJORITY?)
reactions that they are disappointed (why are there disappointed?)
tyranny of majority social?religion?gender?
what caused the line of reactions?
what are some of the reactions (good for eg in srq)
counter forms of democracy in the future?
not much change in cabinet
not enough females (will we be threatened that there will be no representation of females?)
[the ruling gvt is very fair and infallible and will not make mistakes and will have no blind spots{ if we have doubts who will check the blind spots? (WHO BETTER KNOW A WORKING WOMAN NEEDS THAN THE WORKING WOMAN HERSELF?) not enough to have working woman/married woman but also single woman so they will know the needs of the single women) IS THERE ANY (PERCEIVED) LACK OF REPRESENTATION apart from gender what about racial?
